Courses > Fine Art Photography

Today photography has become a very popular & powerful medium of expression in the world of fine art. It has become a tool for expression beyond just a beautiful image. Its has a more meaningful role to play among the practicing contemporary world of the new age artists.

In the last few years, photography found its due as a place in the world of art & many artists picked up the camera to extend their expression beyond the brush & chisel.
The medium today is a powerful tool for many artists & photographers to reach out to their viewers with their inner expression & global concerns.

Recently the medium has become a subject to investment among serious art collectors & art museums around the globe.

Our point of learning would be based on:
What makes the medium an Art beyond a photograph & how does an artist or a art photographer stand above a person with a camera. In this world where practically every person owns a camera in one form or other, how is it that still there are works that reach an art gallery and many that don’t get beyond ones personal album.

What makes the picture before it reaches the art gallery & the significance of the picture after it reaches the art gallery

Our learning will be based on the contemporary art practice & contextual thinking, interpretations & re interpretations of works with help of analysis of contemporary Lens based artists & then apply our own sensibilities to the medium with the help of the Lens & Camera.
