Photo Walk / Tour
14th–16th February 2026 — A tour to photograph the soul of Benares












You will photograph morning scenes at the ghats, the evening Arti, the sun as it comes up over the horizon, and scenes in the gullies, the river — do some street photography, photograph the ghats, and make some street portraits.
We may take you to an old Banaras house along the way and give you enough opportunity to eat some of the street food.
This is a short trip, so we won't have time to visit Sarnath.
Arrival in Benares and briefing (around 4 PM).
Attending and photographing the evening Arti at the ghats.
Photographing the scenes at night, after the Arti.
Sunrise scenes at the ghats — photograph the activities at sunrise.
Return to the ghat area. Walk in the gullies of Benares. Visit an old home.
Visit some street food and chaat vendors.
Evening walk at the Kashi Vishwanath Lane.
Visit the confluence of the Varuna River and the Ganga.
Return to the ghats. Photograph the street scenes.
Departure from Benares.
We will review everyone's photos at the end of every day, and at the end of the tour.
Stay in a four/five-star hotel/old haveli on a twin sharing basis.
One meal every day at the hotel.
Photography mentoring.
Local transport to the ghats & back.
Two boat trips for photographing the Ghats.
We will travel by autos/rickshaws locally.
Cost of travel to Benares & back.
The cruise (the newer ones).
All meals except those mentioned above.
All items of personal consumption.
Group size: Maximum of 12 participants.
Varanasi is well connected from Delhi by air & train.
There is a Vande Bharat Express between New Delhi & Varanasi.
(Note: Due to floods in Varanasi, this tour has been postponed to Mahashivratri in February 2026.)
